FANDEMONIUM!: Speed Run – Star Fox (SNES)

Star Fox made exploring (and speeding through) space fun.

Welcome to FANDEMONIUM!, where we get to nerd out and share our love of games as only fans can.

Star Fox was quite a unique specimen of a game. Released it 1993 for the Super NES, it used Nintendo’s Super FX chip to make 3D shapes out of polygons. And it was pretty nifty to see back then.

Well, Star Fox 64 3D was just released for the Nintendo 3DS (and it’s been doing okay review-wise), so I thought we’d take a look back at the original that introduced us to Fox McCloud and his wingmen.

Once again, we’re raiding the vaults of Speed Demo Archives to bring not one, not two, but three Star Fox runs (for each game level). Enjoy!
