FANDEMONIUM!: Speed Run – Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)

Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of Time

Finishing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in record time… while traveling back in time. OY!

Welcome back to FANDEMONIUM!, where gaming nerds can share their love of games in creative ways.

Well, the day has finally arrived: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is now out in stores! I’m about to go and pick my copy up. OOOOO, I can’t wait! 😀

The game’s been getting rave reviews everywhere. To celebrate the newest installment of the legendary series, let’s take a look at one of its most beloved games, still talked about and fondly remembered by all who’ve played it: Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Now, Ocarina of Time was revamped and released for the Nintendo 3DS not too long ago for a new generation to enjoy (and for those of us who grew up playing it), but I figured we should take a look at its original incarnation on the Nintendo 64.

Speed runner Mauri Mustonen from Speed Demos Archive takes the 40+ hour behemoth and completes it in almost 5 hours. Wish I could finish games that huge that fast.

He’s doing this run on the PAL version of the game, so it runs a wee bite slower than the North American version of the game.
