Nintendo’s gonna announce two big games at E3. Sweet.
The last time Nintendo released a Pikmin game, it was allllllll the way back in 2004, with Pikmin 2 for the GameCube. Sure, the lil’ guys have been seen creeping up in other Nintendo-related media, but fans of the series have been waiting for a new installment since 2008, when game producer Shigeru Miyamoto announced that another sequel was in the works.
Speaking with Spanish newspaper El Mundo, Miyamoto confirmed that Pikmin 3 will make an appearance at the industry’s yearly über-shindig, E3, in June.
Now, I’ve never played Pikmin before. Ever. I will say, though, that the white one scares the bejesus out of me. I mean, look at it! Those eyes are gonna give me nightmares.

I would pee my pants if I met this thing in a dark alley. Glowing red eyes and all. Look at it!
But wait! That’s not all!
In the same interview Miyamoto also confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U will also make an appearance at E3.
So there you have it. A new Pikmin and Super Mario Bros. game at E3. Fans, rejoice!
