Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- Location Tests Start In August

Guilty Gear Xrd SIGN

Arc System Works is gonna start letting folks play Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- next month. PLUS: the game might be coming next year.

You have no idea — NO IDEA — how excited I am about Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. I love the series to death, and hearing about a brand spanking new game, done in 2.5 D using the Unreal Engine, makes me so… so… excited! And if you’re lucky enough to be in Japan around the beginning of August, you have the chance to be among the first to try it (and if you are, consider me forever jealous  ).

Arc System Works will start their round of location tests, starting August 9th to the 12th, on the forth floor of Sega Akihabara Building 1 in Tokyo (directions can be found here). While you’re there, you should probably say “hi” to series’ general director Daisuke Ishiwatari, who will be there on August 9th from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.

As for the future of the series, Arc System Works president Minoru Kidooka said in an interview with Famitsu that the later half of the year will be devoted to the PS3 release of BlazBlue: Chronophantasma and its accompanying anime (both coming in October). Afterwards, they’ll start to get people even more hyped for the 2014 release of Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. I’m not too sure if that release is for home consoles or strictly arcades, but still, I’m too giddy.

If you still haven’t seen the Xrd trailer… here. Bask in the glory, then let me know how hyped you are for more Guilty Gear love in the Comments Section!
