Vita Version of Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster Coming In March

Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster

… same date as the PS3 version. PLUS: Collector’s Edition… ’cause Square Enix wants your money.

Remember a few weeks ago, when Square Enix announced that the PlayStation 3 version of the Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster is coming March 18th, along with a special Limited Edition? Well, they’ve announced over at the PlayStation Blog that the Vita version will also be available on March 18th. It will retail for $39.99 and features cross save functionality, so you can play on the go and continue the adventure on the big screen. Sweet! You can download the games from the PlayStation Store, or buy Final Fantasy X at the store, which includes a download voucher for X-2.

But wait! There’s more!

Because the folks at Square are clever minxes, there’s offering another special edition for the pair on the PlayStation 3 (like the Limited Edition wasn’t enough). The Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster Collector’s Edition contains a 40-paged hardcover art book (much like the one in the Limited Edition), five lithographs featuring characters from the games and the game’s soundtrack… on Blu-ray. So the music from the game is set to the games’ most memorable moments that you can play on your PS3 while doing housework.

Final Fantasy X - X2 HD Remaster Collector's Edition

Behold the wonders of the Collector’s Edition.

This can all be yours for the low, low price of $79.99… and can only be bought on Square Enix’s Online Store.

It ain’t as fancy as the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Collector’s Edition, but die-hard fans will get a kick out of it, I suppose. I think I might just stick to the Limited Edition personally, as the only thing that really piques my interest is the Art book.

How do you like this new-fangled Collector’s Edition? Or will you simply just get the Limited Edition? Let me know in the Comments Section!
