Check out the beauty of this game in the trailer and images!
One of the games during Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference that took me by surprise was a game by indie dev Moon Studios, Ori and the Blind Forest. It’s lovely visuals and fluid animation left me in awe, and the moving trailer made me want to learn even more about it.
Ori and the Blind Forest is a tale about a little spirit guardian named Ori. He was living a peaceful life until his home, the forest of Nibel, starts to die. He also loses his adopted parent during a horrible storm.
Ori sets out to to save the forest, while thwarting (what I assume to be) the cause of the forest’s ills: the dark owl Kuro.
Powered by the Unity engine, Ori is an action-platformer with some puzzle-solving elements thrown in for good measure.
The game comes out to Xbox One and PC in the fall, with the Xbox 360 version date to be determined.
I’m really excited for this, and I can’t wait to find out even more about Ori. Plus… that lil’ guy is ADORABLE!
